Taking Our Classroom Outside!

We're learning about force and motion in science. We've covered push, pull, force, motion, and friction.  Today we sat outside to observe things around us that are moving. The kids used the sentence starter "I notice" to record their observations. They noticed cars, tree branches, kids, leaves, swings, and even their papers moving. We talked about the force that caused the motions we observe. My favorite was when a student noticed that the wind was causing her hair to move into her eyes! Awww firsties!

Tomorrow we're observing the sun as it appears to move throughout the day.

Fingers crossed for a sunny day...
